Kristin's Story
Kristin graduated with honors from the University of Missouri – Kansas City before obtaining her law degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City Law School. Her passion for family law was evident early in her career, as she interned in the domestic unit of Legal Aid of Western Missouri, clerked for a Kansas City firm focused on domestic law matters, and worked with several non-profit organizations, including Mother's Refuge, a homeless shelter for pregnant teens, and Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City.

Helping people through difficult transitions has always been second nature to Kristin, inspired by her parents who set an example of passionately helping others in crisis, including her mother who worked as a dedicated social worker.

After law school, Kristin deepened her expertise in family law through a clerkship with the Honorable Sherrill Rosen of the Family Court system in Jackson County, Missouri. This two-year position, with her office located directly in the courtroom, provided invaluable experience observing trials, hearings, and various court proceedings daily.

Prior to joining Leonard and Finley, Kristin participated actively in Family Law and Guardian Ad Litem clinics and was appointed by the court to represent children in custody actions involving allegations of abuse or neglect. This experience gave her substantial trial experience in custody litigation and allowed her to view cases from the unique perspective of advocating for the child's best interests rather than a parent's interests.

Kristin has twice attended the associate program for the American Academy of Matrimonial Attorneys, assisted with two appellate cases under Anita Rodarte, and was recognized with Rising Star awards from Super Lawyers in both 2021 and 2022. She credits much of her success to mentorship from Anita Rodarte, one of Missouri's premier family law attorneys and AAML member, as well as guidance from the Honorable Sherrill Rosen.

In 2017, Kristin became a named partner at Leonard Rodarte Siegel LLC, where she handled maintenance and child support cases, as well as complex divorces involving corporations and businesses. In 2025, she established her own practice, where she continues her dedicated work in family law.
